Fr Michael Smith SJ

Fr Michael Smith SJ

Michael Smith SJ is originally from New Zealand. He joined the Australian Province of the Society of Jesus in 1976 and was ordained a priest in 1984. He has a Master of Arts (in Pastoral Counselling) from Loyola University, Chicago and a Doctor of Education in Counselling and Human Services from La Trobe University, Melbourne. His doctoral dissertation was on the personal spirituality of men at mid-life. Michael is currently the International Education Coordinator for Jesuit Refugee Service and is based in Rome. Michael Bertie walked the Ignatian Camino with Michael Smith and a group of 20 pilgrims in 2013 and has taken over the maintenance of this site. The ignatiancamino.com site is owned by Campion Centre of Ignatian Spirituality.
